Peter is reading the stock pages to Charles Devaux, when the other man interrupts. "In the end," Charles says, "all that matters is love." Peter tells Charles his secret -- that he can fly. As Charles watches, Peter leaps from the window and wakes up in his own apartment to the sound of Simone leaning on the buzzer: While Peter dreamt of him, Simone's father passed away.
Peter tells Simone of Isaac's power, which is also his burden. Together they travel to his loft, but when they arrive, they find him gone. Peter asks for one painting in particular, and when she sees his desperation, Simone reluctantly tells him that a man named Linderman bought it.
At crisis point over Micah's abduction by D.L., a distraught Niki reveals her recent turmoil to a friend, but then abruptly changes into the threatening Jessica, scaring the woman badly.
Putting aside his own problems at home, Matt helps F.B.I. Agent Audrey Hawkin's investigation into another bizarre murder, but their pursuit of the mysterious Sylar takes an unexpected turn. Later, while he is changing at his locker, a colleague congratulates him on the FBI putting him forward for promotion again. Then Matt reads his mind as his colleague gloats that Matt has no idea that the other man has been sleeping with Janice. Enraged, Matt punches him -- a seemingly unprovoked attack to those around them.
Nathan and his wife Heidi discuss how to win the congressional election, and she finally convinces him that her being wheelchair bound does not have to be a liability to the voters; that his compassion can be seen as strength.
Claire is shocked to learn Lyle has seen the missing tape.
